Paula Gagnon has been Executive Assistant at the Maine Hospital Association in Augusta since April of 2002. She supports Steven Michaud, President of MHA, Jeffrey Austin, Vice President of Government Affairs and Communications, David Winslow, Vice President of Financial Policy and Sally Weiss, Vice President of Workforce Policy & Strategic Initiatives. Paula joined MAHAP in 2011 and began working on the Membership Committee. Paula was elected as Secretary of MAHAP and assumed her duties in 2014. Paula received the MAHAP member of the year award in 2017 and was elected as President of MAHAP January of 2020.
Paula grew up in Augusta and now resides in Winthrop. She has a grown daughter, Rebecca and recently became a grandmother to a beautiful baby girl, Tanner. Paula enjoys golfing, camping, reading and being outdoors.

Deborah McNally, President Emeritus
A graduate of Husson University, Deb has supported executives in paper manufacturing, communications, education and healthcare. Her career at New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland spans 26 years and she has held the position of Administrative Supervisor and Executive Assistant to four Chief Executive Officers during that time. She also provides support to the entire executive team, as well as the Board of Directors. In addition to her daily duties, Deb enjoys her involvement in hospital committees that promote staff retention and patient satisfaction, as well as serving as United Way’s Campaign Manager for the hospital for 26 years.
Deb presided as President of MAHAP for two terms, following her time as Vice President. In her role of President Emeritus, she is passionate about working with the ExecutiveTeam to bring quality conference content and networking opportunities to executive support professionals throughout Maine and North Conway, New Hampshire. She hopes to have a positive impact on the organization through mentorship of new leaders and fostering relationships with fellow members.
Deb resides in Portland and has also lived in Texas and Hawaii. Experiencing life in these other states was instrumental in her love of travel. Mother of Meghann, Trevor, and Kyle and “Mimi” to Drew, Taylor and Noah, she enjoys spending time with family whenever possible. She loves reading, dancing, traveling and cooking, as time permits!

Debbie began her career with MaineHealth Care at Home (MHCAH) in August of 1990 working in Finance as an Accounts Payable Clerk and also in billing, she then transitioned to Marketing in 2004 as the Marketing Coordinator while also supporting the VP Finance, and the President as needed. In 2017 Debbie began supporting Clinical & Quality as an Administrative Assistant and in 2021 she was hired as the Executive Assistant supporting Patsy Aprile, President, Home Health & Hospice Services; Elaine Collins, CFO, Heather Lomax, CNO and Chris Costello, Director of Quality, Compliance & Innovation; as well as the MHCAH Board; the MHCAH Executive Team; the MHCAH Finance Committee and the MHCAH Quality & Safety Committee.
Debbie attended her first MAHAP conference in 2015 and immediately knew it was something she needed to be a part of! After just a short time, she volunteered her talents to the Communication Committee, working on the MAHAP Messenger newsletter and helping out with the mahap.net website. She was elected Parliamentarian in 2017 and Vice President of MAHAP in 2020.
Debbie grew up in Biddeford, where she still lives with her husband of thirty nine years, Jeff and daughter, Alaina, a seventh grade math teacher at Lewiston Middle School. She has 2 cats and 6 chickens. She loves traveling; relaxing in her pool with a good book, music, and a beverage; spending time with her family; dancing; crafts; and baking.
MaineHealth Care at HomeKelly Rockwell has been with Northern Light Mayo Hospital since March 2012. Initially, she worked in several areas including billing, reporting database management, compliance and risk management. In December of 2013 she accepted her first role as an Executive Assistant supporting the VP of Human Resources, VP of Finance, and the VP of Quality & Education. In June of 2016 she transitioned to her current role as the Executive Assistant to Marie Vienneau, President. In this role, Kelly also supports the CA Dean and Mayo Hospital Board of Directors, Medical Staff Offices, and other Executives. Kelly joined MAHAP in 2016. Kelly recently assumed her duties as Secretary of MAHAP in January 2020.
Kelly has lived in Maine since 1990. She has been happily married for 28 years and has two adult sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, church, watching movies, trips to Boston to watch the Red Sox, and a good cup of coffee.

Julie Bernier, Co-Treasurer
Julie’s career at MaineHealth began in 1998, when she was hired as the legal secretary/administrative assistant in the legal department. In 2015 she was promoted to the position of Paralegal. Julie left the legal department in December of 2018 and is currently an Executive Assistant at Maine Behavioral Healthcare. Prior to coming to MaineHealth, Julie worked at the law firm of Drummond Woodsum in Portland for 11 years.
In 2014 Julie accepted her first position with MAHAP as Member at Large where she worked alongside MAHAP leaders on membership drives and other projects as needed. In 2017, she accepted the position of Co-Treasurer. She has hosted one conference since becoming involved in MAHAP and was voted MAHAP Member of the Year in 2018.
Julie has two sons, Brandon and Justin, and resides in Poland with her husband, Ray. She enjoys gardening, hikes and time with family and friends.

Jane's first job was as the Secretary of Admissions at Husson College. In 1979, she worked Dead River Company. In 1981, she left to be a stay-at-home Mom. When their children in school full time, she worked as an Ed-Tech four years. She then worked part-time as the Administrative Assistant for Ron Harriman Associates assisting with work on community development block grants. She found a full-time position at Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC) as the Administrative Assistant to the President and to the Director of Administration and Finance. In the ten years at EMDC, Jane took on several different roles. In 2017, Jane accepted a new position at Eastern Maine Health Care Systems d/b/a Northern Light Home Office working with the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Transformation Officer, and now provides support to the VP of Finance, the VP and Assistant Treasurer, the System Controller, and the AVP of Finance Business and Analytics.
Jane spent several years as a volunteer on various committees (Komen Maine Race for the Cure, The American Folk Festival, and the Town of Holden). She provided hand painted items for auctions to the Children's Discovery Museum in Bangor and the Bangor Kiwanis. Jane is also a Notary Public.
Jane currently resides in Holden, Maine with her husband of 43 years and they have two grown children, Stephanie and Anthony, and a special daughter-in-law Taylor. They also have two grandchildren, Max & Ellie whom they adore.

Lynn has worked for Northern Light Health since 1998. She started her career working for Visiting Nurses of Aroostook (now know as Northern Light HomeCare and Hospice) and is currently the Executive Assistant to A.R. Gould Hospital’s President Greg LaFrancois and V.P. of Finance Maura Kelly. Lynn joined MAHAP in 2019 and has been creating the MAHAP Messenger Newsletter since 2020.
Lynn and her husband live in Perham and has a daughter and son. In her spare time, you can find Lynn volunteering for Anah Shrine as one of the volunteer coordinators for the Shrine Circus in Presque Isle as well as following her son around to his baseball games.

Becky Adams, Member-at-Large
Becky Adams began her career with Memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH, in 1998. Her first role was providing support in Administration and Medical Staff Services. Over the years, she became the Administrative Coordinator for the Vice President of Operations before transitioning to the role of Executive Assistant in 2010. Becky currently supports the President, Chief Medical Officer, and the Board of Trustees.
Memorial Hospital's relationship with MaineHealth allows Becky and her peers at Memorial to participate as members with MAHAP. Becky was elected Member at Large with a term beginning in January 2020.
Becky grew up in Virginia and has lived in New England since 1998. She has three sons – Nate, Chandler and Spencer. Her favorite times are spent with family and friends, cooking, and breathing in the ocean air.
